Syfy has carried reimagined series before, take Battlestar Galactica for example. However, Syfy's newest series, Being Human, is different in that the original series is currently still on television in its third season on the BBC. Many people have been hesitant on whether or not to tune in to Syfy's version, especially fans of the original. After watching the first three episodes and talking to some of those involved in the show, however, I think everyone should give it a shot. Syfy's version can definitely hold its own.
USA Network's hit original series, White Collar, returns with all new episodes from season two next week. The mid-season cliffhanger ended with Mozzie (Willie Garson, Sex and the City) having been shot, and now Neal Caffrey, played by Matt Bomer (Chuck; Tru Calling), and Peter Burke, played by Tim DeKay (Tell Me You Love Me; Carnivàle) work to find the shooter and continue to look for answers about Kate's murder.
NBC is pulling out all the stops for its new series, The Cape, a crime drama with a comic book sensibility. Curious viewers have seen the promos and explored the show's website, which includes an online graphic novel and official message board. The marketing blitz reached a high point just before Christmas, when the show's creator and executive producer, Thomas Wheeler, made time for a Q&A session with digital journalists.
Syfy's popular series Merlin returns for a third season starting January 7 at 10PM ET/PT. Colin Morgan reprises his role as the young wizard Merlin, who must protect Prince Arthur, played by Bradley James. The new season finds the kingdom of Camelot in turmoil by the return of Morgana.
