Yesterday, the new series Hysteria! premiered on Peacock. During the late 1980s, during the "Satanic Panic," a well-liked varsity quarterback mysteriously disappears, and a group of high school misfits in a struggling heavy metal band decide to seize the opportunity to gain fame by branding themselves as a Satanic metal band, capitalizing on the towns new obsession with the occult. However, things don’t go according to plan when a series of strange kidnappings, murders, and alleged supernatural events occur, leading to a witch hunt pointing to them as the prime suspects.

Recently, stars Emjay Anthony, who plays Dylan, Chiara Aurelia, who plays Jordy, and Kezii Curtis, who plays Spud, spoke with SciFi Vision about working on Hysteria!

Seizing the moment, a struggling high school heavy metal band of misfits decide to exploit the towns new obsession with the occult by branding themselves as a Satanic heavy metal band. However, when a series of bizarre kidnappings, murders, and other alleged supernatural activity occur, they find themselves at the center of a witch hunt that implicates them as the prime suspects.

Recently, creator, writer, and executive producer Matthew Scott Kane and writer and executive producer David A. Goodman spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the series, including creating the look of the 1980s, and more.

From Emmy-nominated creator Vijal Patel comes the new Prime Video comedy series, The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh. The series, which is based on Patel’s own personal experiences, follows the Pradeep family as they navigate their first months in America after moving from India. Uniquely told through hilarious and often conflicting flashbacks from an interrogation room, the family recounts their interactions with a neighboring family who is the polar opposite of them, often leading to many unforeseen twists.

Patel, who also serves as writer and executive producer on the series, recently spoke with SciFi Vision about creating the series, including which character specifically comes from his own experiences, his family’s reaction to the series, and much more.

Stars, Naveen Andrews, who plays the father of the Pradeep family, Mahesh, and Ethan Suplee, who plays his neighbor, Jimbo Mills, recently spoke with SciFi Vision about the new comedy series.

The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh was something quite new for Andrews, which was part of the appeal for him. “I guess the reason why I wanted to do it was because I'd never done anything quite like that before, the form, which is a half-hour sitcom,” the actor told SciFi Vision. “It turns out that form meant that we could do things that perhaps you wouldn't be able to do with conventional, straight-on drama.”

“To Naveen's point, I think there is some leeway with comedy where you can get away with a little bit more, or maybe not get away with more, but you can do something in a way that isn't so heavy,” explained Suplee to the site. “The levity gives you more breath to work with.”

Today, the new horror film Smile 2 opens in theaters nationwide. A sequel to the original film, Smile 2 follows Skye Riley (Naomi Scott), a pop star who is about to start a global tour when she starts experiencing terrifying and unexplainable events, including hallucinations of people smiling. Overwhelmed by the pressures of fame and what is happening to her, Skye is forced to face her dark past and get control back of her life before it’s too late.

Peter Jacobson (House, Colony) plays the role of Morris, a mysterious outsider who has a connection with the terror and crosses paths with Skye. Morris tries to convince Skye that he can help save her.

Tonight’s episode of FROM really ramped up the action once again and didn’t stop. This week the stories finally converge with Tabitha returning to the town, but of course nothing can ever be easy on FROM.

From inside the town, we have the phone call, with whoever is on the other end now talking to Ethan and not just Jim. This is where it’s hard to tell if whoever or whatever it is sometimes wants to help, is just pushing its own agenda, or really just wants to screw with them so no one knows what to think. The fact that “Thomas” told Ethan that his mother was coming could have been taken as a good thing, but perhaps it was also because they knew he or Jim would run out and they wanted more deaths and chaos.

Meanwhile, Colony House is dealing with the aftermath of the crow, and I question who actually cleaned it up. Bakta refused to do it. Did Nicky end up picking up the bird? It wasn’t actually shown, but her death later in the episode makes me wonder if perhaps the bad omen was also for her. I do however think, as Tilly seems to point out, that it’s likely pointing to a bad sign for Fatima and her baby as well.

We get some nice scenes with Victor and Sara in this episode which I really liked and understand why Victor chose her to share his story with. We don’t really get a whole lot of information beyond what we already know in the end, however, during these scenes. The main takeaway is that Victor wants to find Jasper the dummy, who we’ve seen previously on the series.

Citadel: Diana, which premiered yesterday on Prime Video, takes place in Milan in 2030, where Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis) is a Citadel agent working as a mole in the enemy Manticore, as well as in flashbacks eight years previous, when Citadel was destroyed by Manticore. Diana sees an opportunity to escape but must rely on an unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir to Manticore Italy, as well as the son of its current leader, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), who is competing for control against the other European families.

Recently, star De Angelis, along with showrunner Gina Gardini, spoke with SciFi Vision about the second series to debut from the world of Citadel.
