Almost 14 years after the original series run, the next mind-bending chapter of “The X-Files”™ is a thrilling, six-episode event series from creator/executive producer Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reinhabiting their roles as iconic FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, the fourth and final installment in the franchise based on Suzanne Collins's book series, recently was released on Blu-ray and DVD.

The fourth film (part two of book 3) picks off where Catching Fire left off. In District 13, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) is recovering after Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), who had been rescued, attacked her, having been "hijacked" by the Capitol and thinking her the enemy.

Panem is at war, and Katniss, with the help of her friends, including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), an unstable Peeta, and some new allies, must risk their lives as they go on a mission to overthrow the Capitol and assassinate President Snow (Donald Sutherland).

Along the way to the Capitol, the streets have been booby trapped with "pods" by Snow and the Gamemakers, essentially making the streets the new arena.

Katniss must decide who she can really trust and how far she is willing to go to end the war.

Fear the Walking Dead, which premiered on AMC last summer, is a spin-off of the network's hit series The Walking Dead. Anchor Bay Entertainment originally released season one on blu-ray and DVD on December 1st. The blu-ray set, which I previously reviewed, only contained the six episodes and two small bonus features. Thankfully, it was announced that this special edition with more bonus features would be released this month for fans who wanted to wait.

Here is a quick summary from the original review:

The story opens with Nick (Frank Dillane) as he wakes up in an abandoned church/drug den and can't find his friend, Gloria. During his search he stumbles upon dead bodies, as well as Gloria, who's been stabbed, eating off someone's face, before she turns to go after him. Nick, still high, runs out, where he is then hit by a car.

Game of Thrones: The Complete Fifth Season is a great addition to your Blu-Ray collection, nicely packaged with solid bonus features that will please hardcore George R.R. Martin fans as well as viewers familiar only with the HBO series. The four-disc set includes all ten episodes of the season, which won a record twelve Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series.

Five years into the series, Game of Thrones’ complex storytelling defies quick synopsis. Throughout the season, Danaerys Targaryen struggles to lead Meereen and subdue the insurgent Sons of the Harpy, finally crossing paths with Tyrion Lannister. Meanwhile, Cersei Lannister also struggles to retain power in King’s Landing, but she underestimates the power of the High Sparrow. Littlefinger weds Sansa Stark to Ramsay Bolton, the worst sadist in all of Westeros, and Stannis’ devotion to the Lord of Light costs him everything. At the Wall, Jon Snow is elected Lord Commander of the Night's Watch and forms an alliance with the Wildlings, with disastrous results.

For the past five years, HAVEN, based on the Stephen King novella "The Colorado Kid" and starring Emily Rose, Eric Balfour, Adam Copeland and Lucas Bryant, has thrilled its legions of viewers with its supernatural storylines, VFX-fueled action and drama.  And with plenty of dark secrets about to be revealed, along with new guest stars such as the inimitable William Shatner, THE FINAL SEASON -- and final home entertainment installment -- is guaranteed to be unforgettable.

The Transporter Refueled, which is the fourth installment in the franchise, follows Frank Martin (Ed Skrein), who will transport anything on time if you follow his rules, for a price. When Martin receives a contract request from a woman to transport some packages, he gets more than he bargained for when he discovers the "packages" are two other women.

The women, who were part of a prostitution ring, not only want out, but are after revenge against their old boss. Martin gets sucked into their plans when the trio kidnaps his father (Ray Stevenson) to guarantee his help.
